The international group’s visit to the class is part of the Education and Activism For Young Women Project sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.
The presentation and panel discussion called “Archaeology of the Luna Expedition in Pensacola” was held at the Museum of Commerce as part of the Experience UWF Downtown Lecture Series.
The academy, which is in its 11th year, serves children ages 4-18 and has a stated mission of striving to offer a unique variety of physical experiences while providing invaluable teaching experience for undergraduate physical education teaching majors at UWF.
The 16th annual University of West Florida Women’s Studies Conference will feature a number of student presenters as well as keynote speaker, Capt. Wendy B. Lawrence.
The study assessed the ease and efficiency of the voting process and the voters’ knowledge of voting options, locations and other general election information.
The current study has been accepted for publication in the journal “Criminal Justice and Behavior” later this year.
